Posting these income reports late is starting to become a pattern. Sorry about that. It’s been a very busy two weeks for me. My parents decided to sell our house (we live in a duplex – me in the walk-out basement and my parents on the main floor). We spent the first week touring house after house trying to find something that would work for all of us. We finally found a house to buy and then rushed to get our house on the market. After the inspection last Wednesday, we decided to pull our offer because that house needed way too much work for the money. We found another house to buy earlier this week but the sellers aren’t accepting offers. Not sure why the house is on the market when they don’t want to sell but whatever. We decided to take our house off the market and try again next spring. Now that I’m not trying to keep the house spotless and finish up house projects, I can focus on my Merch, KDP and Etsy goals again. Here is my September 2024 Income Report:
September 2024 Income Report
In September 2024, I sold 29 books for a total income of $57.01. I’m very happy with this number since I didn’t add any new books in September. I had a total of 20 books in the bookshelf at the beginning of the month and I ended the month with 20 books in my bookshelf. I currently have 12 coloring books, 3 log books, 3 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 6 coloring books (17), 2 log books (6) and a scrapbook paper pad (1).
Advertising costs were about the same as last month. My ACOS was a tick higher at 29.62% instead of 29.50% I had last month. I spent $7.10 on ads which was a few cents lower than August and sold 3 books. I’m okay with that but, just like last month, I wish ACOS was a bit lower.

What Did I Do In September?
While I didn’t get everything done in September that I wanted to, I did get a few things done. I completed 4 coloring book interiors and their covers. I wish I would have gotten them published in September but that will have to be a goal for October.
Goals for October 2024
- Publish 10 books
- Add A+ content to 6 niche related coloring books
- Add A+ content to 6 niche related scrapbook pads
There is still 3 weeks left in October which is plenty of time to get these goals done. Four books are already completed and just need to be uploaded so that leaves me with 6 books. I think I’m going to focus on scrapbook paper pads for those 6 books which are pretty easy to design and upload. The hardest part of these goals will be coming up with the A+ content but once I figure that out, it should be easy. We are only a few days away from Q4 and I’m excited to see how my books sell during the holiday shopping season.
