June 2024 – Amazon KDP Income Report

Welcome to July! I can’t believe how fast summer is flying by. It feels like I blinked and June was gone. I made quite a bit of progress on my goals in June but I didn’t get them all complete. Still, I’m proud of the progress I made and I’m looking forward to seeing what July brings to my KDP business. June 2024 Income Report In June 2024, I sold 18 books for a total income of $38.89. That’s 1 more book sold than the previous month and $6.93 more than I made the previous month. I had a total …

Marketing Plan for Amazon Merch on Demand

As promised, here is the marketing plan that I will follow for my Amazon Merch on Demand account. There are many different marketing strategies to use and I’m not sure exactly which one is best. I decided to focus my attention on Instagram. I watched some YouTube videos and read some blog posts and it looks like a great way to advertise my designs for free and get targeted traffic to Amazon. Below is my 10 step marketing plan for killing it in sales on Amazon. Ally’s Amazon MOD Marketing Plan Step 1: Pick A Niche The first step of …

May 2024 – Etsy Store Income Report

Welcome to my first ever Etsy store income report! As I mentioned in my income reports from last month, I have three forms of passive income that I want to focus on – Amazon KDP, Amazon Merch on Demand and my Etsy store. What Is My Etsy Store? Etsy is a platform where pretty much anyone can create an online store to sell handmade items – both physical and digital items. I sell digital items on my Etsy store. I’m not going to name my store as I’m worried about copy cats but I create business forms for a particular …

May 2024 – Amazon Merch on Demand Income Report

Welcome to my Amazon Merch on Demand May 2024 income report! May was an extremely busy month and disappointing in terms of hitting my passive income goals. The first half of the month was spent on vacation where I had no access to reliable internet (and, frankly, I didn’t want to work while on vacation) and the second half of the month was spent doing freelance work to try to get caught back up on bills (vacations are expensive). I am very motivated to get June started with a bang, but first, let’s reflect on what happened in May. May …

May 2024 – Amazon KDP Income Report

May was a disappointing month when it came to hitting my goals. It was a very busy month for me. For the first half of the month, I was on vacation and had no reliable internet connection. For the second half of the month, I was focused on making money to pay my bills and getting chores done around the house (currently in the middle of a DIY kitchen/living room renovation). I didn’t complete any of the goals I had set for Amazon KDP. Luckily, June is a new month so I can start fresh. Below is a look at …

April 2024 – Amazon Merch on Demand Income Report

I’m back from vacation and ready to finish these income reports and get back to work. Amazon Merch on Demand is the second form of passive income I want to focus on. This one is a little tricky and you’ll see why below. What is Amazon Merch on Demand? Amazon Merch on Demand is a way of selling t-shirts and other on-demand products on Amazon. How it works is that you apply to the program through Amazon. Once approved, you can upload your design and place it on t-shirts, bags, pillows, etc. Amazon will do the selling and shipping of …

April 2024 – Amazon KDP Income Report

Now that the Niche Site Challenge is dead, I’ve decided to focus my attention on three other forms of passive income – Amazon KDP, Amazon Merch on Demand, and Etsy. I’ll post an income report for each of the three projects at the beginning of every month. In these income reports, I’ll not only report my income for the previous month but I’ll also go over what I did that month to improve my income and make goals for the next month. Up first is Amazon KDP. What is Amazon KDP? KDP stands for Kindle Direct Publishing and it’s a …

Niche Site Challenge: Dead

“You need to know when to give up and quit.” I’ve heard this advice many times but I never seem to do well at implementing it. Well, I have decided to kill the Niche Site Challenge. Google has won. Every time my sites start to rank and make money, Google puts out an update and kills all the traffic. My dog website was starting to gain traffic in January and February and then the mid-March Google update smacked the traffic down to zero. It smacked all of my niche websites. I just can’t do this anymore. I’m exhausted and tired …

Welcome to 2024! S.M.A.R.T. Goals for the New Year

Happy new year! I plan on posting a Niche Site Challenge update on Monday but, for now, I have some other business to get to. I’m going to share with you my S.M.A.R.T. goals for 2024. The last time I did one of these goal posts was in 2018 and I don’t think I accomplished a single goal. It’s embarrassing to go back and read that post. I don’t know what I was thinking with some of those goals. This year, my goals are much more reasonable (at least, I think they are) and I’m planning on accomplishing every single …

Niche Site Challenge: Update #2

As you might have suspected from the lack of an update last week, the Niche Site Challenge has come to a screeching halt. It is hopefully just a temporary halt…for a few weeks over the holidays. Before things got busy, I managed to get all tasks in Phase 1 completed for the dog website but that’s as far as I got. There has been a lot going on since the last update and I haven’t been able to find the time to work on my websites. Like most people, I have bills to pay and I need money to pay …
