April 2024 – Amazon Merch on Demand Income Report

I’m back from vacation and ready to finish these income reports and get back to work. Amazon Merch on Demand is the second form of passive income I want to focus on. This one is a little tricky and you’ll see why below. What is Amazon Merch on Demand? Amazon Merch on Demand is a way of selling t-shirts and other on-demand products on Amazon. How it works is that you apply to the program through Amazon. Once approved, you can upload your design and place it on t-shirts, bags, pillows, etc. Amazon will do the selling and shipping of …

April 2024 – Amazon KDP Income Report

Now that the Niche Site Challenge is dead, I’ve decided to focus my attention on three other forms of passive income – Amazon KDP, Amazon Merch on Demand, and Etsy. I’ll post an income report for each of the three projects at the beginning of every month. In these income reports, I’ll not only report my income for the previous month but I’ll also go over what I did that month to improve my income and make goals for the next month. Up first is Amazon KDP. What is Amazon KDP? KDP stands for Kindle Direct Publishing and it’s a …

Niche Site Challenge: Dead

“You need to know when to give up and quit.” I’ve heard this advice many times but I never seem to do well at implementing it. Well, I have decided to kill the Niche Site Challenge. Google has won. Every time my sites start to rank and make money, Google puts out an update and kills all the traffic. My dog website was starting to gain traffic in January and February and then the mid-March Google update smacked the traffic down to zero. It smacked all of my niche websites. I just can’t do this anymore. I’m exhausted and tired …

Welcome to 2024! S.M.A.R.T. Goals for the New Year

Happy new year! I plan on posting a Niche Site Challenge update on Monday but, for now, I have some other business to get to. I’m going to share with you my S.M.A.R.T. goals for 2024. The last time I did one of these goal posts was in 2018 and I don’t think I accomplished a single goal. It’s embarrassing to go back and read that post. I don’t know what I was thinking with some of those goals. This year, my goals are much more reasonable (at least, I think they are) and I’m planning on accomplishing every single …

Niche Site Challenge: Update #2

As you might have suspected from the lack of an update last week, the Niche Site Challenge has come to a screeching halt. It is hopefully just a temporary halt…for a few weeks over the holidays. Before things got busy, I managed to get all tasks in Phase 1 completed for the dog website but that’s as far as I got. There has been a lot going on since the last update and I haven’t been able to find the time to work on my websites. Like most people, I have bills to pay and I need money to pay …

Niche Site Challenge: Update #1

This challenge is going to be way harder than I thought. I made some good progress on the tasks I set out to finish this week but I didn’t complete all of them. I thought the first few tasks would be easy wins. Unfortunately, they took way longer than I thought they would. Here is a summary of the tasks I wanted to complete and how far I got on them. Phase 1, Task 1: Fix Coding Errors The first task I needed to complete was to fix all coding errors on my websites. This meant running the HTML and …

Niche Site Challenge: The Goal & The Plan

Welcome to the first post of many for my personal niche site challenge. I will not be revealing any of my sites publicly but I am going share the results of the challenge. You are welcome to follow along with your own niche sites. I have decided to focus on just 5 of my niche sites to begin with. I hope to eventually grow these into authority sites but, for now, they will just be niche sites. The 5 sites I choose to start working on are sites that I think have a lot of potential. Here are the sites …

Are Amazon Affiliate Sites Still Profitable?

Something I have struggled with over the past few years is whether or not it is worth it to keep my Amazon Affiliate websites. I have a total of 20 sites. I used to have 30 but purged 10 sites over the past year. The sites that I kept are sites that I think can still be successful. As it is now, I only make around $50 a month on average from Amazon Affiliates. Three years ago, I was making least $2000 a month from these sites so the crash has been difficult both financially and mentally. I put my …

Where It All Started And Where It’s Going

Note: I wrote this post in December of 2022. It was going to be a yearly review but I clearly got distracted. Wow! Time flies when you are working hard (and not earning any money). Apparently, I only post once or twice a year to this blog. Does anyone read this thing anyways? Probably not but if you are reading this, hello and welcome! This post is going to be a little different than the other posts I’ve made. I’m going to write a little something from the heart and whatever is on my mind so sorry in advance if …

Monthly Income Report: April 2022

April was a very hectic month, especially towards the end of the month. My dog was sick and needed to be hospitalized for a week (she’s fine now). At the same time, we were moving to a new town that was 2 hours away. The last week of April involved a lot of driving, moving boxes and panic attacks. Needless to say, I didn’t get anything done that week. However, I’m confident that the few tasks I did accomplish in April will end up being a good foundation for my business in the future. When it comes to income reports, …
