March was a very busy month for me but I was still able to make a lot of progress on KDP. We were able to get an offer on our house so I spent most of March doing repairs that were requested by the buyers and packing up my stuff. April has been even busier as we closed on the house on April 8 and then we moved into our new house on April 9 but didn’t close on the new house until April 10. I’ve spent the past two weeks deep cleaning the house, moving boxes, unpacking boxes and organizing. I haven’t even had time to sit down to work on KDP. We’ve been so stressed out by the move that we’re going to spend a week in Florida at the beach for the first week of May. Hopefully I can get some books uploaded to KDP before we leave. Here’s my March 2025 Amazon KDP Income Report:
March 2025 Income Report
In March 2025, I sold 88 books for a total income of $172.36. I published 12 books in March so I started the month with 33 books on my bookshelf and ended the month with 45 books. My bookshelf contains 28 coloring books, 3 log books, 12 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 10 coloring books (76), 1 log book (3) and 5 scrapbook paper pads (9).
Advertising was $20.49 and the ACOS was crazy high at 54.09%. I had 161 clicks but only 3 sales. My average cost per click was just $0.13 which isn’t too bad. I just wish the ACOS was a lot lower. ACOS for all three categories – coloring books, scrapbook paper and log books – was high. In fact, I didn’t even sell any log books through ads but had 41 clicks. I’m not sure what went wrong in March but my ACOS is much better for April so far.

I’m not happy with my March numbers at all. I think my advertising could have been better and there was a sharp decline in sales. The 12 books I published are doing great so far in April so I’m hoping this is just a temporary dip in sales.
What Did I Do In March?
Despite being super busy in March, I still got a lot done with KDP. As I mentioned before, I published 12 new books. I published 6 scrapbook paper pads and 6 coloring books. I also added A+ content to 16 books. I didn’t quite make my goal of 31 books published and adding A+ content to 40 books but I think I did pretty well considering how busy I was. I also didn’t start advertising in Canada like I wanted to.
Goals for April 2025
- Publish 5 books
- Add A+ content to 10 books
I’m only making 2 really easy goals for April. I’m way too busy with personal stuff to have time for KDP this month. I think I can make some time to crank out 5 new books to get to 50 books total in my bookshelf and to add A+ content to 10 books. For some of my books, I already have the A+ content created and I just need to upload it to Amazon. I’m not going have an advertising goal this month because I want to get my ACOS down in the US before I start advertising in other countries.
