Welcome to November! It felt like October just flew by. I’ve been very motivated the last few weeks and have gotten most of my monthly goals completed for KDP, Merch and Etsy. I thought I’d keep the momentum and motivation going by getting the October income reports published right away. Here is my October 2024 KDP income report:
October 2024 Income Report
In October 2024, I sold 32 books for a total income of $65.97. This was a record month for both income and number of books sold in one month. I published 4 new books and I uploaded 3 more books that are still in review. I had a total of 20 books in the bookshelf at the beginning of the month and I ended the month with 24 books in my bookshelf. I currently have 16 coloring books, 3 log books, 3 scrapbook paper pads and 2 journals. I sold 7 coloring books (25), 2 log books (6) and a scrapbook paper pad (1).
Advertising costs were much lower than last month. My ACOS was super low at just 9.48% which makes me extremely happy. I spent $4.83 on ads which was half as much as in September and sold twice as many books at 6 instead of 3. I’m currently only advertising in the United States but am thinking about branching out into other countries. It might be a goal of mine for the start of the new year.
Total Amazon KDP Income for October 2024: $61.14
Previous Month’s Earnings
September 2024: $49.91
August 2024: $38.59
July 2024: $52.80
June 2024: $32.15
What Did I Do In October?
I did a lot in October. I published 4 new coloring books. They were related to 3 coloring books that I had already published. I then created A+ content for all 7 coloring books and linked them all together with a comparison chart. I’m hoping that will help drive more sales. I also created 3 scrapbook paper pads and published them but they are still in review. I expect that they will be approved and published tomorrow morning. While I didn’t quite reach my goal of publishing 10 books, 7 new books is still a good number.
Goals for November 2024
- Publish 10 books
- Add A+ content to 6 niche related coloring books
- Add A+ content to 6 niche related scrapbook pads
My goals for November are going to stay the same as the goals I had in October. I think 10 new books is a good number to aim for but I’ll probably increase this number at the start of the new year. I’m currently working on getting books published that are related to my currently published books so I can link them together with comparison charts in the A+ content. For example, let’s say my best selling book is a butterfly coloring book. I would then publish a dragonfly coloring book, a ladybug coloring book, a caterpillar coloring book, a bird coloring book and a firefly coloring book. Then I would add a comparison chart to each of the coloring book’s Amazon page using A+ content and link all 6 of the coloring books together. I hope that makes sense. The 3 scrapbook paper pads that are currently in review are related to 3 other scrapbook paper pads that are already published. Once the 3 get published, I can create A+ content and a comparison chart for each of them. I’m also planning on doing this with my logbooks, journals and the rest of my coloring books. I’m hoping that this will allow people to see what else I have to offer without paying for ads. Maybe they will click on my butterfly coloring book but end up liking the dragonfly coloring book too and buy them both. Or decide that they would rather have a ladybug coloring book instead. I think adding comparison charts will help increase my sales – and income – by a lot.
Just a side note: My November income report will be delayed by quite a bit. I’m leaving for vacation on Thanksgiving day and won’t be back home until the day after Christmas. I’m going on back-2-back cruises. I won’t have internet access on the cruises but I’ll try to get some work done at the hotels before and after the cruises. I might be able to publish the November income report on November 30 at midnight at the hotel as the first cruise leaves on December 1 but don’t be surprised if the report doesn’t drop until mid to late December.
